Acknowledgment of Country

We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which Lilly Pilly Place stands. We acknowledge the Gamilaraay people, whose ancestors have lived on and cared for this land for thousands of years. We pay our respects to their elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Lilly Pilly Place is a refuge for women and children fleeing domestic violence. It is a place where they can find safety, support, and a new beginning. We are committed to fostering a culturally sensitive and inclusive environment that respects and acknowledges Aboriginal women and children, as well as our staff.

By acknowledging and respecting this heritage, we aim to create a place of healing and empowerment for all who come here. Our doors are open to Aboriginal women and children, and we are committed to creating a safe and supportive space where they can heal, grow, and reclaim their lives.
